DCP: Prediction of Dental Caries Using Machine Learning in Personalized Medicine

Dental caries is an infectious disease that deteriorates the tooth structure, with cavities as most common result. Classified one of prevalent oral health issues, research on dental has been carried out for early detection due to pain and cost treatment. Medical in healthcare shown limitations such considerable funds time required; therefore, artificial intelligence used recent years develop models can predict risk caries. The data our study were collected from a children’s survey conducted 2018 by Korean Center Disease Control Prevention. Several Machine Learning algorithms applied this data, their performances evaluated using accuracy, F1-score, precision, recall. Random forest achieved highest performance compared other machine learnings methods, accuracy 92%, F1-score 90%, precision 94%, recall 87%. results proposed paper show ML highly recommended professionals assisting them decision making treatment
